The Highland coast around Portmahomack offers long views across open countryside, and this renovated stone cottage sits at the quiet end of a private lane with space to settle in. A working farm property with the character of older rural buildings—exposed stonework, original walls—it has been brought up to date throughout while keeping its charm intact.
Everything is on the ground floor. The main living space is open plan, with a sitting area, dining zone and kitchen flowing together; a woodburner provides warmth, and there's a smart TV with entertainment options. Two bedrooms, both with en-suite or bathroom facilities, sleep four. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly: oven, hob, dishwasher and the other essentials. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included.
Outside is where the cottage really distinguishes itself. A gravelled path leads to a private hot tub enclosed by fencing and original stone walls, with a summerhouse nearby for outdoor dining and shelter. The large garden is fully enclosed. Parking for two cars is provided on-site. One dog is welcome and stays free, though should be kept on a lead in this sheep country. Note that smoking is not permitted inside.
