Bayview Cottage

Bayview Cottage sits on an elevated plot above Portmahomack village, overlooking the harbour and water. The layout splits across two floors: ground level holds three bedrooms (one double of 4ft 6in, one double of 4ft 6in, one twin), a bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate toilet. A utility room with washer-dryer sits at ground level too. Upstairs opens into one continuous living space—sitting area with smart TV and wood-burning stove, dining zone, and kitchen in one flowing room. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, so cooking a full meal is straightforward. A large decked balcony extends from the first floor with patio furniture; below is a small garden with barbecue and seating. Private parking fits two cars.

The cottage accommodates six people. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided; the initial fuel for the wood burner is included. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost, though smoking is not permitted. Portmahomack itself is a working fishing village on the northern shore of the Dornoch Firth, within reach of coastal walks, beaches and the wider attractions of the eastern Highlands. The elevated position and balcony orientation mean sunsets over the water are frequent.
