Built from stone with walls that give it its name, Walled Cottage sits in rural Inchnadamph among the hills and lochs of Sutherland. The whole property is yours alone, with three bedrooms spread across a single storey—useful if stairs are a consideration—plus a shower room and combined kitchen and dining space. A woodburner in the living room provides warmth on cooler evenings, and the kitchen is properly fitted out for cooking from scratch. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen and towels come as standard.

Five of you can stay comfortably here, and one dog comes free. There is private parking for two cars on site and a garden with seating for the warmer months. The location puts you within reach of Loch Assynt, the limestone caves at Inchnadamph itself, and the wider countryside that draws hill walkers and photographers. No smoking indoors.
