St Brighs
Highland
The Cromarty Firth is a working estuary where seals, dolphins and wading birds are regular visitors, and St Brighs sits right at the water's edge. This former boathouse, built from stone in the 1860s, occupies a completely isolated spot where your only neighbours are the wildlife that comes and goes with the tides. The enclosed garden runs down to a fenced shoreline ten yards away, with a gate opening directly onto the foreshore itself.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one with twin singles—plus a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, the kitchen and dining room have a wood burner and everything needed for self-catering, while the main living room has French doors onto the garden and out towards the water. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and logs for the burners are included. The property is yours alone, with parking for three cars on site and space for one pet at no extra cost. Note that there is a step down into the garden, and small children need supervision near the water's edge at all times.
This works well for couples or families wanting genuine seclusion without driving to reach it, or for anyone drawn to watching tidal landscapes and the animals that depend on them. There's no smoking in the property.
