The Boat House
Highland

Families and small groups looking for a genuine waterside base will find The Boat House well suited to their needs. This stone cottage on the Ardtornish estate sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double with ensuite, a single, and a bunk room, plus a separate bathroom. The main living space is split across two levels, centred on a light dining and sitting area with patio doors opening onto a terrace that overlooks Loch Aline. A wood burner provides warmth in colder months.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, as is the initial fuel for the woodburner. You have private parking for two cars on site and can request a travel cot or highchair if needed. The property does not permit smoking.
The terrace and garden offer somewhere to sit with views across the loch, and fishing is available on the estate itself. The surrounding landscape—lochs, castles, woodland—supports otters and sea eagles. Access is via three steps to the entrance; a further four steps lead into the garden.
