The units have no running water or electricity, but water's available outside and there's an eco-friendly composting toilet for guests' use.

Salen village has local amenities and makes a superb base for exploring Mull's scenery and wildlife, both on land and at sea. Top cycling and walking routes crisscross the island, with quiet beaches and historic attractions aplenty. Fishing, sailing, climbing and golf are all nearby, and the island's reputation as a wildlife haven – otters, eagles, seals – rarely disappoints.
