The Bothy at Willowbank

The Bothy at Willowbank is a single-storey cottage at the rear of a guesthouse in Grantown-on-Spey, within the Cairngorms National Park. You get the whole place to yourself: a living room and kitchen in open plan, one double bedroom, and a shower room. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. Bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are all included, and there's parking for one car on site.

Grantown sits at the heart of Speyside, where distilleries and castles punctuate the landscape, and the park itself is serious walking country—anything from village strolls to high peaks. The town has a pub within a mile. The Bothy suits two people wanting a quiet base with easy access to both the outdoors and the whisky trail; it also works if you simply want to stay put. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
