Couples after a quiet retreat and small families will find The Old Post Office well suited to a Highland break. This stone-built cottage stands on the shore of Loch Hourn near Corran and Arnisdale, with views across the water towards Skye. One dog stays free, though it must be kept on a lead in this sheep country. The property is yours alone, with parking for two cars on site.
Downstairs, the kitchen/dining room has what you need to cook properly—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher—and a living area with an open fire for cooler evenings. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a super king bed, the other with two singles, plus a separate toilet and bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, heating and an open fire are all included, along with WiFi. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The village shop in Corran stocks essentials; the nearest pub is in Glenelg, ten miles away. Walking, climbing and water activities are within reach from the doorstep. The Ceilidh House and Heritage Centre is nearby if you want to explore local culture during your stay.
