West Bothy at Cluain Ghrianach
Highland
Couples and small families will find West Bothy suits a quiet Highland escape. The cottage sleeps three across two bedrooms—a kingsize and a single—with one bathroom, all on the ground floor. A private drive leads to the detached property, which overlooks Loch Sunart, the island of Carna and the Morven Hills. The open-plan living space centres on a woodburner, with a dining area and kitchen equipped for self-catering. Electricity, bed linen, towels and logs are included; there's also a washing machine in an external utility room and parking for two cars on site.
The location works well for those wanting to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula without constant driving. Sanna Bay's white sand and the Ariundle Oakwood National Nature Reserve are within reach, as are Castle Tioram and Ardnamurchan Point lighthouse. The area supports walking, cycling and watersports, with bike storage provided. Wildlife here is abundant—otters, Sea Eagles, pine martens and badgers live nearby. Salen has a shop and cafés five miles away; Acharacle offers restaurants and a pub at seven miles. A car and foot ferry from Kilchoan runs to Tobermory on Mull, and Mallaig gives access to Skye and the Small Isles. The property uses spring water and does not permit smoking.
