An t’Abhall

Ardnamurchan's most westerly reaches offer serious scope for wildlife watching and water-based exploration. An t'Abhall sits 200 yards from Loch Sunart, with its own mooring and a rocky beach at your door. Dolphins and otters pass regularly; the loch itself invites swimming, fishing and kayaking from the grounds. Horse riding, canoeing and water sports operate locally, while Castle Tioram and Glen Coe lie within reach for those wanting to venture further afield.

The cottage holds two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with zip-and-link singles—and one bathroom, all on a single floor accessed by five exterior steps. A fully equipped kitchen handles proper cooking; the sitting room has an open fire. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. A garage on the grounds stores kayaks and bikes. One dog is welcome provided it stays on a lead (the surrounding hills host sheep). The property is non-smoking.

Hill and loch-side walks depart from the doorstep. Pubs and restaurants lie a short drive away, as do local distilleries. The renovation has married Victorian styling with contemporary creature comforts, and a supply of logs sits ready for the fire.
