About The Beach Motel

The Beach Motel is a family-run motel in the heart of Trearddur Bay, a short walk from the village's Blue Flag beach and around a ten-minute drive from Holyhead. Its double and family en-suite rooms are straightforward and well-kept, with flat-screen TVs, hairdryers, tea and coffee facilities and free WiFi, aimed squarely at holidaymakers rather than business travellers.

Downstairs, the Driftwood Restaurant & Bar has become something of a local institution, serving homemade food, cask ales and a traditional Sunday carvery, with regular live sports screenings and a weekly charity quiz night on Thursdays that draws in villagers as well as guests.

Practical touches include disabled facilities, cots on request, free parking and a breakfast service each morning. Its combination of value, location and a genuinely sociable bar makes it a popular choice for families and groups visiting Trearddur Bay for the beach rather than the town.

I stayed for 2 nights with a friend on our annual walking holiday. The location was perfect, the welcome was warm and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were basic but the basics were done very well with comfy beds and a generous size room, kitted out with all you need. The whole package represents fantastic value for money. I will definitely be back

I stayed there for a midweek overnight stay in a double room earlier this week. Collected the key from the reception, the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room was clean tidy in fact it was immaculate throughout, all the bedding was clean the bathroom was spotless. The room was also warm and very comfortable. There was a double bed and a single bed. All the bedding was clean and fresh. There was a television, tea, coffee the bath had a Jacuzzi type setting although I didn’t use that. Overall I was very impressed with the standard of the accommodation and the comfort of the rooom, and I will definitely be returning - 10/10.

Great little motel in a beautiful setting. Right next to a golf course and near a lovely beach. Rooms were well set up with great facilities. Staff welcoming and helpful. Didn't have evening meal as Driftwood is closed on a Monday but we will go back again as breakfast was lovely. Worth staying if you're visiting Anglesey.
