Tower Hill Caravan and Camping

Other than the terrible smell in the bedrooms, the most disappointing part of our experience happened after we left. My daughter accidentally left her necklace behind after celebrating her 10th birthday. I contacted the owner multiple times and even offered to pay the postage costs to have it returned. Despite several polite messages, I have received no response whatsoever. Mistakes happen and items get left behind, but completely ignoring a guest's attempts to recover a sentimental item is unacceptable. Good customer service doesn't end at checkout, and unfortunately this host has shown none. I cannot recommend staying here based on the complete lack of communication and care shown afterwards.

The ensuites in every bedroom absolutely stunk of sewage. You could tell they tried to hide the scent because there was so many room sprays in there. Doors were coming off the showers, the washing machine was broke, the dishwasher was faulty. As you can imagine, we didn’t have a great stay.

We stopped here for a long weekend during Easter Bank Holiday. The site owner was very welcoming and helpful on arrival and was eager to help with any issues. We had a great pitch and enjoyed the excellent location, it was easy to walk the dogs straight out in the fields and also a close drive to all the amenities or coastal walks. The facilities are great, a separate toilet and shower block that you pay for each use on a meter. We could easily get a very long shower for £1 and there would often be some money left in the meter from the person before. We had a lovely stay, thank you.

Stayed here over the weekend. Overall the place is really nice, the communal areas are all really big and spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms and beds are quite small, but everything was very clean. A few things I would have expected to be better listed below. 1. Massive garden, hardly any garden furniture, and some of what was there was broken. 2. Hot tubs a bit dated 3. The late check in time of 5pm is quite unreasonable. We arrived at about 3.30pm and got in and everything was cleaned, so not sure why it's this late normally. Especially as the signs say they come in at 8am to clean the hot tubs on departure day and the check out is 10am. 4. One of the rooms smelt really badly of damp, we tried to spray air freshner but it didn't help for long. 5. Lastly, the main TV in the living room was awful. Kept restarting and the remote was crap! Overall we did enjoy the weekend though and would recommend as long as you're not expecting 5 star luxury.
