About Acorn Guest House
Acorn Guest House has operated on Beverley Road, on the northern side of Hull, for more than three decades, and remains a family-run business with the kind of personal welcome that larger hotels rarely manage. The house became a home for the family in 1983 and was converted into a guest house in 1992, and it has built a loyal following among both business travellers and tourists in the years since.
The guest house sits on a tree-lined road with a large car park to the front, free of charge, and what its owners describe as the biggest private garden in Hull to the rear, a genuine point of difference in a city-centre-adjacent property. Rooms are comfortable rather than luxurious, with free Wi-Fi throughout and a cooked breakfast included.
Its position on Beverley Road puts it a short bus ride or a fifteen to twenty-minute walk from the city centre and the University of Hull, making it a sensible choice for visitors attending events at the university or simply wanting a quieter, more residential base with easy parking.

We stayed for one night , while visiting Hull University. Location was fab, but the place was very dated & dirty, we had a terrible night's sleep & left before breakfast as I couldn't of eaten there.

Janet is the perfect hostess, the house is lovely and I have stayed in five star hotels that are not as comfortable or as well appointed - and then there's the gardens! Doreen and Annie, who help with the room servicing are both a joy. I can't recommend this guest house highly enough, so much so, I'm booking two more weeks there!

What a fabulous hidden gem, proper Yorkshire hospitality , excellent breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon cooked to perfection. Lovely lady owner who put us in a very large room with a very comfortable bed and some beautiful pieces of furniture. The bathroom is so nice, huge walk in shower , there's a fridge, microwave and TV in the room also. Parking is provided too . We will be back :)
