About Park Hotel & Apartments

Walk into a room at Park Hotel & Apartments and you get a decent amount of space, a comfortable bed and an en-suite bathroom, with air conditioning to keep things pleasant whatever the season. Family rooms and apartment-style options are also available, giving groups and longer-staying guests some flexibility beyond the standard hotel layout. Upkeep can vary from room to room, so it's worth knowing that while many are well looked after, not every one will feel freshly finished.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without having to leave the building, plus 24 hour reception, a lift, free WiFi and the option of drinks brought to your room. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a good spread including items cooked to order, and staff are consistently helpful and friendly, which makes settling in straightforward.

The location on Park Street puts guests within easy reach of central Hull and its shopping streets, and it's a convenient base for visiting attractions such as The Deep and the Humber Bridge. Golf, fishing, pubs and restaurants are all nearby too, making it a practical choice for exploring the city and beyond.

I stayed at Park hotel for 4 nights. It is very convenient to the bus and train station 8 minute walk. The hotel in the past use to be a orphanage for sailors Children hence the sculpture outside the front. The hotel is large with apartments too. I stayed in a single room which was fine except one night the bed was not made and cups, towels not changed. When I complained the lady said they had no cleaners. I said to her that I have paid for a service. I did feel sorry for her but When you book a hotel you do expect the basics will be covered. The hotel is not homely the staff are very friendly I found the continental breakfast very basic yoghurt and just grapes. A coffee machine. I had cooked breakfast once but not too impressed but most people seemed happy. The plus of this hotel is that it is reasonably priced, but be prepared that you might be making your own bed and taking cups and towels for replacement clean ones. The distance from the bus and train station. I enjoyed my stay in Hull a lovely city friendly people, plenty to see and do. I would recommend the guided tours I went on 3 the city, the marina and ghost walk all a 10 from me. Great tourist information in the station run by volunteers.

Pros: Nice, hardworking staff. Good breakfast at the restaurant. The hotal is in a quiet area. Spacious room with good space, full length mirror, desk, table and sofa bed. The hotel was quiet. Con: The floor of our room was a bit dirty and not carpeted. It meant I couldn't walk on bare feet or allow my baby crawl on the floor without a blanket or covering on it. Furthermore, the pullout sofa bed had the dirtiest scariest linen in history. There were dead bugs (including spiders) and spiderweb on it. It made me uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. Our window was close and perpendicular to another window which I felt wasn't great for privacy. Additionally, the curtains were were open a little on the side, so we didn't have a total blackout. The bathroom / toilet was small and the water flow from the shower head was weird - very narrow calibre. Summary: it's okay for a few nights stay. Not luxurious but affordable with nice staff and service

Stayed here for 2 weeks between moving properties. The room and building was clean and spacious, large shower an comfortable bed and bedding. Great breakfast options served quickly and includes take out option. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and nothing is a problem. It's close to town centre ,station and shopping centre so ideal if without transport. Would recommend and would stay again.

Great hotel, situated close to a massive shopping centre and 5 mins walk from Hull centre. Parking is 8 pounds a day in the hotel car park, or you can get slight cheaper over the road but it was easier to park in the hotel. Large rooms, big beds, plenty of space. Breakfast is fantastic with a massive selection - you can have a cooked breakfast with up to 8 items. Lots of other things too, croissants, cereals, yogurts, toast, tea, coffee, juice etc. the building itself is really something - an old technical college, so lots of history, big school staircase, large windows. Have stayed twice now and would stay again if we were in the area. A good tip is to avoid nights with football and events on at the local stadium, it gets really busy then, and is much quieter at other times.
