What visitors say
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently stayed at The Meadows Campsite and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a well-maintained and beautifully located campsite. Our pitch was excellent, offering plenty of space and a lovely setting. The site was clean, tidy, and very well looked after, which made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was the stunning location alongside the River Ouse. The views across the river were fantastic and created a peaceful atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding and enjoying the outdoors. The surroundings are beautiful, and whether you're sitting outside your motorhome, taking a walk, or simply enjoying the scenery, there is always something to appreciate. The site strikes a great balance between being peaceful and having everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was obvious that they take pride in maintaining such a lovely campsite. Everything was clean, organised, and easy to access. Overall, The Meadows is a fantastic campsite in a beautiful setting. The combination of spacious pitches, excellent facilities, stunning river views, and a peaceful atmosphere made for a memorable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing camping or motorhome break. We will definitely be returning in the future. 🚐🌳🌊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great campsite, very good facilities. Staff are lovely. Next to a river where you can rent out boats or have lots of nice walks to local villages. Big shops close by so although it feels as if you a million miles away, local amenities are close by.

Had Easter on the campsite, the staff were so helpful and dedicated to making the site clean and tidy all the time. There's a lovely coffee shop , a five minute walk into the village is a lovely pub, children and dogs are allowed in. You can walk or cycle or go on the river. Just a note to 1st time visitors you need to drive in front of the pub and down past the church, l missed the sign due to a tree just hiding one of the two signposts my fault. It is a lovely site and will revisit.

Really lovely site with top class facilities dominated by Houghton Mill. A National Trust site in the village of Houghton with two pubs and a community shop. Could easily be a contender for Loo of the Year!
