About Crystal Lakes Caravan Park

Tucked away on 12 acres of Cambridgeshire meadowland, Crystal Lakes Caravan Park draws anglers and nature lovers to its pair of mature fishing lakes, well-stocked with carp, tench, pike and bream. A small daily charge applies. The peaceful setting – complete with visiting otters and swans – belies the site's convenience: Huntingdon is ten minutes by car, Cambridge 25, and over 600 miles of public footpaths and cycle paths radiate from the doorstep. The nearby RSPB reserve at Fen Drayton Lakes rewards walkers with further wildlife encounters.

Facilities include spacious, well-kept showers and toilets (free hot water), a recreation field for kids, and an on-site activity centre (separately run, entry charge). Fenstanton village, a ten-minute stroll, supplies a butcher, bakery, chip shop and pub, plus a couple of general stores. Some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places, but the warm welcome and rural tranquillity more than compensate. Dogs are welcome year-round.

This is one of the best fishing lakes i have ever been to. Lovely clear water, plenty of fish for the anglers. They also do static caravans for those family stops. They also cater for children. I can't find anything wrong and it's a shame I can only give them a 5star rating.

This used to be a nice place to stay and fish but sadly after a recent visit it’s a shame to see that it’s gone down hill, the small lake which used to be brilliant for fishing is now full of weeds and the water level is a lot lower than it used to be. The big lake is slightly better but still pulled in more weeds than fish, shame to see this place slowly letting the fishing side of it go. It used to be really taken care of.

Lots of wasps ,the bins were overflowing and were emptied whilst there but food on floor remained so attracted wasps still, needed someone to keep an eye on and clear properly. The site is pleasant, toilets and showers nice and clean ,play barn good for families.

I chose to camp here because of the great budget friendly price, but have stayed because of the beautiful location and fantastic fishing. 26 beautifully designed swims built with purpose by fishermen for fishermen. The staff and owners have been super helpful and friendly, the amenities are cleaned daily. A wonderful little slice of paradise, situated between the delightful village of Fenstanton and the historic market town of St. Ives.
