Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve

This campsite is set in a beautiful area and facilities are ok, toilets in every field and fairly clean. We went for 2 nights, Saturday was good with a shop open until 10pm and a pizza van to order from in the evening. But on the Sunday we went out and couldn't get back in for 10 minutes as no one answered the bell! The the children wanted an ice for the shop, which was closed, it had a sign to call Andy, but no answer, so we went to the park to wait, about 20mins later another family wanted the shop and knocked on the near by caravan. Andy appeared with no top on, moaning to be quick because he was watching the grand Prix! Another person appeared, which didn't make Andy happy as he had to go and open the gate to let him in! The shop didn't open the rest of the day! I thought he was very rude! Maybe a sign on the shop saying when the shop would be open would be better. There was also the sign out for the pizza van again but it didn't come. When leaving the following day the gate was closed, I found a bell but no sign, pressed it a couple of times, but nothing! In the end I had to walk out and press the entrance button and spoke to someone who opened the gate so we could leave. It was such a shame as the Saturday was perfect, they definitely need a different system for quiet days.

We have had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this camping. Friendly staff. Lots of space. There is a camping store and a big playground. Few minor points: the weather was very hot and there is not much shade. Shower was not great either. Prices seemed quite fair.

Been here for the last 5 years since my child was 9. Great place for children and adults too. Perfect for younger ones if you go on the park field as no matter where you are, you can see them playing. Theres also lots of grass all round the park for ball games, paddling pools etc. When the children are a bit bigger there's lots of fun to be had over the back fields and in the woods. Fishing is great too if that's your thing. For those wanting more of a quiet stay without kids, you can choose from twh 4 paddock fields, 3 of whixh have beautiful views over the lakes. The onsite shop has all the essentials you'll need and there are different food trucks that come every night too. Loos and showers are always very clean as is the whole site in general. Really lovely place to stay with or without children.

Booked Tawneys the bungalow on the campsite which far exceeded my expectations. Alison and Grahame are excellent hosts and cannot do enough for you. Bungalow has everything you need and more. The lakes are beautiful for walking around morning or evening or just to sit with a drink. Plenty of walks from campsite and handy having the shop on site especially when they do bacon baps and sausage rolls for breakfast.
