About Ardentorrie Guest House

Breakfast is a highlight at Ardentorrie Guest House, a simple bed and breakfast on Gordon Terrace in Inverness, setting guests up before a day exploring the Highlands. There's also a garden and outdoor seating area where you can sit with a drink and take in the castle views, along with a picnic area for anyone wanting to eat outside.

Rooms are unfussy and comfortable, with tartan touches giving them a local feel, en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi, and drinks available in the room. Family rooms are available, and practical extras like luggage storage and 24 hour reception make arriving and leaving straightforward. Free on-site parking is provided, which is useful given the property's position close to the town centre.

Inverness itself is under a mile away, and Culloden Battlefield is within easy reach for those interested in local history. A golf course, pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, making it easy to fill an evening after a day out. It's a no-frills base rather than a destination in itself, well suited to travellers who want comfortable rooms and a good breakfast without extra fuss.

Beautiful view in a very quiet well-decorated room. Plenty of little extras-blankets, towels, tea and chocolates in the room. Very friendly staff with local restaurant recommendations within easy walking distance (actually met owners at restaurant one night)! Great tourist-friendly suggestions, for example taxi company for Culloden. Made life so much easier. Breakfast was great-hot, tasty, personally made on site with nice coffee/mocha machine (and this coming from a fussy coffee drinker)! Felt like they went out of their way to be helpful, kind and accommodating which was greatly appreciated when you are far from home! Hope we can return again another day!

A comfortable room with an exceptional view and a very pleasant and accommodating host. It's a bit of a steep walk to get to but doable. The high location means outstanding views.

I accidentally booked a hotel room and just an hour or two later realized and called them to cancel. They told me they're okay giving me a refund and that I need to call my agency to complete it which I did. Once the check-in time passed the hotel contacted me and said that I'm outside of their policy and that they have to charge me. Do yourself a favor and book your stay at an actual hotel.

Clean, comfy (lovely firm mattress), nice decor & location. Staff friendly enough but it’s a self check-in which feels a bit cold. I only saw Willie at breakfast, which he served then left the room never to return; on check out you don’t interact with anyone either. Cooked breakfast was good but everything else on the buffet felt basic eg cheap cereals and canned fruit. Overall it felt like it should be better for the price.
