About Dunhallin House

Five rooms are all Dunhallin House offers, and that small scale is precisely what makes it work: guests are looked after personally by hosts who take the trouble to learn what each visitor needs, rather than processing them through a large reception desk. The house sits on Culduthel Road in Inverness, with Culloden Battlefield among the nearby points of interest for anyone keen on Highland history.

Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, and mornings start with a proper cooked breakfast made from fresh ingredients rather than anything reheated. Beyond the bedrooms, the property runs to a restaurant and bar, a garden, free WiFi, and practical extras such as luggage storage and a laundry service. There's also a gym, spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, and meeting rooms, plus porter and concierge services and childcare on request, which is a generous spread of facilities for a house of this size.

Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and pubs, bars and restaurants are all within easy reach for evenings out. It's a good base for exploring Inverness itself as well as the wider Highlands, with the comfort of knowing someone is on hand to help with whatever comes up during the stay.

Very friendly and lovely hosts, great and clean rooms, location is really nice and quiet. 25 minute walk to the city center. The freshly cooked breakfast was amazing, great selection of cereals, spreads and drinks. Parking is available directly on their property.

I can't rave about this place enough. Highly recommended. Felt like home. Finally did some washing which dried overnight on the clothes rack and washed my hair - shower was great. Central heating. Parking available.

First visit to Inverness, on our honeymoon. Dunhallin House was a really nice surprise, different from every other place we'd stayed in, but it was such a wonderful experience. The house itself looked lovely, with beautiful decoration and common areas to relax and read some of the books they provide. Sandy and Margaret were absolutely sweet and made us feel so welcome. And the freshly cooked homemade breakfast was the BEST we had in a long while; we couldn't get over how delicious Margaret's porridge was! Only stayed two nights in Dunhallin House but I can safely say it was one of the biggest gems of our honeymoon. Thank you Sandy and Margaret for the lovely hosting.
