An adults-only B&B on Ardconnel Street, Inverness, close to Culloden Battlefield and handy for guests wanting a quiet, child-free stay in the Highlands.

About Kinloch Lodge

Kinloch Lodge suits couples and adults travelling without children who want a straightforward base for exploring Inverness and the surrounding Highlands. As an adults-only B&B on Ardconnel Street, it offers a calmer setting than many family-oriented options in the city, with 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals and departures.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, and breakfast is included to set guests up for the day. There's a garden and outdoor seating for relaxing between excursions, along with free WiFi and luggage storage for those making the most of a short break. Inverness itself is just over a mile away, putting shops, restaurants and bars within easy reach, while a pub, restaurant and other eateries are also nearby for evening options.

Culloden Battlefield is a short distance from the lodge, making it a sensible choice for anyone keen to combine history with their stay, and golf and fishing opportunities nearby will appeal to those wanting to fill their days outdoors. It's a fair-rated, no-frills option for visitors prioritising location and quiet over extensive on-site facilities.

The worst staying experience I'm having in this entire trip. Kinloch Lodge room was told to be 10 sq.m size but this is not even that. It's barely 10 x 5 sq m size. Almost as small as a Jail Cell. There is not a single person to assist with the check-in. The main door code includes a hashtag key which was broken on the lock. Someone luckily opened the door and let me in and then I had to look for a screw driver to keep with me until your maintenance fixed the lock. There is zero room to open up a large suitcase in the room. No fan provided in this summer heat. After paying so much money, this is not what I was expecting.

Our stay at Kinloch was perfect. We stayed 3 nights and our room was small but immaculate. As budget travelers, we highly appreciated the equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook our own meals. Not to mention the free washer/dryer. Besides, the cleaning lady was really helpful and nice with us.

Sandy was a great host, had a very comfortable room and a reasonable price, and was very welcoming! Breakfast was awesome, a full Scottish breakfast offered as well as cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt… and he made a great cup of coffee! Quiet part of town, but still very close to the action. If we are ever in Inverness again, would love to stay here again.

Stayed their one night on our way to Speyside. The host was very nice and the room was clean. Breakfast was also fast and delicious. It was in a quieter part of town but only a short walk and 59 steps down the stairs to get to the lively market. Perfect place to to get some peaceful rest after a long flight but walking distance to the heart of Inverness.
