About Trafford Bank
Trafford Bank occupies a Victorian villa on a quiet residential street in the west end of Inverness, a fifteen-minute walk from the centre along the river. It has built a strong reputation as one of the best guest houses in the Highlands, run personally by its owners rather than as a franchise operation.
Each of its handful of rooms is individually decorated, several with four-poster or canopy beds, and the breakfast room is known for a generous spread built on local and often organic ingredients, served at a shared table that suits guests happy to chat with fellow travellers.
Its residential setting away from the busiest streets gives a genuinely restful night, while the walk into central Inverness along the river is an attractive one in its own right. It suits couples and independent travellers looking for a personal, small-scale stay over a conventional hotel.
What guests say
Paul and his team made us feel very much at home during our two night stay. Place has a lovely garden and the breakfast were terrific. Only downside is a bit of a walk into town. But we got our steps in.

Wonderful B&B outside the hustle bustle in a mostly residential neighborhood. Quiet, well appointed, clean and elegant. Highly recommended.

The Trafford Bank Guest House quite simply put was the crown jewel of our week stay in Inverness. My wife and I were there celebrating 20 years of our love and the hosts were accommodating, polite, personable, and above and beyond. The breakfasts were delightful and always what we wanted. They even went as far as gifting us candy & an anniversary card, way above and beyond the expectations of any place I have stayed. I truly cant say enough pleasant things about the accommodations, environment and the hosts. This is by far the easiest 5 stars I have given. It's close enough to the town center to bike/walk but far enough to not hear the city sounds. Very close to Adli's.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend! I had the pleasure of staying at Old Trafford Guesthouse during a recent trip to Inverness, Scotland, and I can honestly say it was one of the best guesthouse experiences I've ever had. The location is perfect tucked away in a quiet area but still very close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, easily accommodating us. The free WiFi and parking were a great convenience, which made everything incredibly smooth and easy. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast it was absolutely amazing. Fresh, tasty, and the perfect start to the day. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. What really blew me away was their honesty and kindness after checking out, I realized I had lost my wedding ring. I was devastated. But to my relief, they found it and are kindly shipping it back to me in the United States. That level of integrity and care is something you don’t find everywhere. I can’t recommend Old Trafford Guesthouse enough. Whether you’re visiting for business, sightseeing, or just relaxing in the Highlands, this place is a true gem. Thank you again for everything! --- Let me know if you'd like this edited for a specific tone (more casual, more formal, etc.) or shortened for review sites!
