About Auchrannie Resort

Auchrannie has grown since the late 1980s from a single house into Arran's largest resort, now comprising two four-star hotels, the Spa Resort and the House Hotel, alongside luxury lodges and even motorhome stopover pitches, all set in landscaped grounds a short walk from Brodick.

Guests have the run of two leisure clubs with swimming pools, a full spa, and a children's playbarn, making it one of the few places on the island properly set up for families and anyone after a rainy-day plan. Dining spans a seafood grill, a brasserie-style bar and casual outdoor options, so there is little need to leave the grounds for an evening meal.

In 2017 Auchrannie became Scotland's first employee-owned resort, a structure that has kept it independently run and closely tied to the local community rather than part of a national chain. Its scale and facilities make it the natural choice for visitors wanting a resort experience without leaving Arran.

We had a wonderful one-night, two-day stay at Auchrannie Resort. Our accessible room had a spacious bathroom with a large portable shower chair, making it easy to manoeuvre a wheelchair. The only downside for us was that the room had twin beds rather than a double. Everything else was excellent. The beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfast, pool hoist, and, above all, the incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful staff made our stay truly special. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend the resort. We look forward to coming back!

What a beautiful resort. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. They are so attentive. Rooms are perfect and the pools and spa amazing. Even though staff were fantastic, I would like to give a special mention to Ruby, Hannah and Roger that worked in the Cruze restaurant and Paddy in the Hamilton bar. I would love to return sooner than later! Thank you to the staff for making our stay even more special, we had such a wonderful time.

Lovely lady at check-in. Sorry didn't get her name. Superior twin room was beautiful and we had our small dog with us. Staff are all so nice. Hamiltons bar great Negronis and lovely blanket for our wee dog. About a 20 minute walk into town. Definitely would recommend and can't wait to return

Disappointing stay and unfortunately not worth the money I booked a one-night stay. At nearly £300 for the night, I expected a comfortable and relaxing experience, particularly as I had stayed at the hotel twice before and had wonderful visits. Unfortunately, this stay was very different. We were in Room 16 and were unable to get a proper night’s sleep due to constant noise from the room above. It sounded as though the occupants were walking around late at night, and the noise started again early the next morning. There seems to be very little sound proofing which is disappointing for such a highly rated hotel.. The room was also uncomfortably hot. There was no air conditioning and despite having the fan running and the windows open, the room remained far too warm to sleep comfortably. What disappointed me most was that there was no warning that this room was so susceptible to noise from above. Had we known, we would have requested a different room. For a hotel of this standard and at this price point, the experience fell well below expectations. It is particularly disappointing because my previous stays had been positive, which is why I chose to return and recommend the hotel to others. Sadly, after paying close to £300 we left exhausted rather than relaxed. I contacted the hotel directly to provide feedback with sadly no response. Disappointing all round.
