About Glenisle Hotel
Glenisle occupies a converted historic inn on the Lamlash shorefront, a few miles south of Brodick, with rooms looking out over the bay towards Holy Isle. The building's age comes through in its character while the interiors have been given a thorough boutique makeover, with room categories ranging from a suite to comfort doubles.
The hotel has collected a string of accolades, including TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice recognition, and its restaurant, Talisman Bar and Sports Lounge give guests several distinct places to eat and drink without leaving the building. Lamlash itself is one of Arran's quieter, more residential villages, better suited to a relaxed evening than Brodick's ferry-side bustle.
For visitors who want sea views and a boutique feel away from the main port, Glenisle is Arran's clearest option, and its award record suggests the standard is consistently maintained.
What guests say
The trip to Arran was 5 mates in 5 vintage cars. We arrived at the hotel & check in was very well organised. The rooms were clean & had everything we needed. The evening meal & breakfast were the best food on our whole trip. We had live music on the second night which was great entertainment. We will definitely be coming back.

Stayed for 2 nights. Single room, travelling solo but part of a group. My room was lovely. Comfortable bed, great linen and towels. I even had a lovely view. Quiet too. I ate in the homely bar area. Fabulous fish bowl. Excellent. Staff super friendly and helpful. I was away early the second morning so got a bacon and sausage roll to take with me. Music was on both nights which was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Totally recommend.

Booked on a whim as our ferry was cancelled and we were absolutely blown away! Beautiful clean rooms, comfy bed, delicious food and friendly staff that really went above and beyond. They even made us a packed lunch for the ferry 😊 can’t recommend enough!

We had such a lovely stay at the Bay Rooms (part of the Glendale Hotel) at Lamlash. The only downside were the thin walls between rooms, but other than that, the room was a nice size, the bathroom was decent, and having a kettle in the room was handy. The location is absolutely ideal, so beautiful with the views, a lovely place to walk on your doorstep, overnight car-charging very nearby, a co-op, and a very friendly area. The breakfast was perfect - you could not fault it, from the bottomless coffee/tea, to the food choices and really great service. It is such a welcoming hotel and I can only recommend it. I would happily stay again, and would like to try a room in the main hotel. Very well worth the money from start to end. We also had our evening meal in the bar/hotel, which was delicious. (Excellent choices for vegans too.)
