Lovely stay. Beautiful room with sea view, handy for the ferry and nearby Rothesay and easy parking. Nothing too much trouble for our host Gus. Amazing breakfast, no problem with vegetarian gluten free. Nice touches with complementary cakes and some rose wine in our room with which to sit and watch the sea. Highly recommend.

Had a short break here with my daughter, everything about Highlander House is just perfect. From a warm welcome, to a beautiful and comfortable room, a wonderful breakfast, and chocolate brownies and strawberries in the early evening. Gus gave us some great info on places to visit, and we both had a lovely few days. We kept congratulating each other on finding such wonderful accommodation on Bute. I can’t wait to visit again, and am already checking my calendar to see when I might be able to revisit.

We had a lovely two night stay at Highland House. From the moment we arrived with a welcome coffee to the morning we left with a much appreciated packed lunch (which was lovely btw) for our long onward journey. We stayed in the Glenfinnan room which had outstanding views and everything we needed in a room to enjoy our stay. Breakfast what can I say we were blown away the food was exceptional. Gus gave us loads of information on Bute which help our short stay on Bute run smoothly. We can highly recommend this bed and breakfast and will be sure to stop by again if we find ourselves on Bute.

My husband and I stayed at the Highlander House in Rothesay for 2 nights. I can highly recommend this accommodation. The host Gus was fantastic. The room was amazing and the extras (chocolates water home made wine coffee machine) were fantastic. We will definitely be back
