About St Ebba B&B

St Ebba B&B occupies a Victorian building on Mount Stuart Road, a short drive from the ferry port and close to Rothesay Castle, and has been welcoming guests since 2011. Rooms range from ground-floor doubles and twins to sea-view rooms overlooking Rothesay Bay and Loch Striven, several with en suite bathrooms.

Breakfast is a particular strength, built around local produce and recognised with a Visit Scotland Taste Our Best award, and the owners have kept a strong run of guest reviews and repeat visitors as a result. Free parking and free WiFi are provided throughout, along with disabled access facilities.

It suits guests wanting a quieter, more traditional B&B stay within easy reach of Rothesay's town centre and castle.

This place is a gem ! I had an amazing time at St. Ebba B&B and can wholeheartedly recommend staying there. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spotless, charming and the seaside view is breathtaking, especially in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options, even veggie friendly, which is otherwise not easy to find around here! There’s a bus stop right in front and the bus route takes you directly to the different stages of the West Island Way Trail, which makes the B&B the perfect base for hiking adventures on Bute. I enjoyed this stay so much and will definitely come back :)
