Brook Bay lies just minutes away by car, a sandy beach scattered with fossils and known for sunsets across the Solent. Chestnut Cottage is one of four converted farm buildings near Newport, positioned to be a base for exploring both the quieter west of the island and its bigger attractions. The property sleeps eight across three bedrooms: one with a super king bed and ensuite shower, one with a king bed, and one with twin singles. A second bathroom has a bath and shower. Ground-floor living means an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with views over the farmhouse grounds and surrounding fields, plus direct access to the garden where there are chairs and tables.
The kitchen is equipped for real cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, and a washing machine. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. Parking for two cars is on site. The setting is rural and peaceful, with gardens to explore, though driving opens up a much wider range: Osborne House (Queen Victoria's Isle of Wight home), Carisbrooke Castle, The Needles rock formations, Robin Hill adventure park, and several botanical gardens are all within reach. One dog is welcome here at no extra cost. No smoking indoors.

Have just returned from a wonderful stay in the Farmhouse, a group of 6 long standing friends met to celebrate our 70th birthdays. This beautifully spacious, well equipped, and decorated accommodation was the perfect place to enjoy our few days together. Our friendly host Mike made our time there even more special, he even found time to come and take group photos for us! It's obvious to see the pride and care the host and staff take to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We'll be back!

We stayed in Chestnut Cottage for 3 nights mid May for a sisters reunion. It was absolutely perfect in every single way. Mike meet us on arrival with a warm welcome and showed us around the cottage and site - (he also gave us a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake!) The cottage has 3 good sized bedrooms, great showers/toilet and every bit of kitchen equipment needed, we wanted for nothing. Beds, linen, towels and all furniture were comfortable and nice quality. The enclosed garden was an absolute bonus as we had 2 dogs with us so they were able to roam free. All the other accommodation on site looked fabulous too, a perfect place to stay for a large gathering of people/family. 2 car parking spaces are allocated for the cottage and are close to the front gate. The photos are true and accurate. Brook is a very peaceful location with amazing walks, nature and much more. I highly recommend Brook Farmhouse Cottage as a place to stay when visiting the IOW.

Our third visit here. Mike is great, very helpful and patient. Our cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's a really beautiful place and a lot of care has been taken to make the cottages comfortable and welcoming. There are so many things to see and do on the IoW. We went to Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Mottistone Manor, Wildheart Santuary, Dinosaur Isle and walked along Brook and Compton Beaches. Sitting and watching the sea is so relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay at Bay Cottage. Mike was a fantastic host, very helpful and super quick to respond if we needed anything. The cottage is spacious, beautifully furnished & very clean. We enjoyed time in the large peaceful garden and also made use of the barbeque. The location is perfect, so close to the beach & all of the best parts of the Island. We will definitely stay again!
