Greystone Cottage

Newport sits within reach of the Isle of Wight's best coastal paths and beaches. Greystone Cottage is a two-bedroom base for exploring them: a refurbished stone building on the island's outskirts, with everything a four-person group needs for a proper break. The ground floor holds the living room, a full kitchen with electric oven and dishwasher, a utility room with washer and dryer, and a shower room. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles that zip together—and another shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi come as standard.

The cottage stands alone, with a front garden, patio seating and parking for three cars. It suits people who want to self-cater without fuss but don't need entertainment laid on. The Isle of Wight railway runs nearby, and Sandown, Shanklin and the southern beaches are within driving distance. Children under 5 are not accommodated. Smoking is not permitted.
