Insignia

Insignia is a three-bedroom house sleeping up to six in Cowes, equipped for self-catering with everything included—electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washer dryer, opening through bi-fold doors onto a patio. Downstairs, a living room with Freeview Smart TV and woodburner provides a focal point; an enclosed garden and courtyard offer outdoor space. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Bedrooms are spread over two floors. The main bedroom on the first floor has a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (convertible to two singles on request), and shares the only bathroom, which has both a bath and walk-in shower. The second floor holds two further bedrooms—another super kingsize zip-and-link, and a kingsize that also splits into singles. Gas central heating covers the colder months. Note that there is a step to the front door and steep stairs to the upper floors.

Cowes sits on the Solent facing the mainland, home to the world's oldest sailing regatta. Beyond the yacht clubs and maritime heritage, the town has independent shops, cafes and restaurants along the waterfront. The Floating Bridge chain ferry crosses to East Cowes, where Osborne House—Queen Victoria's seaside home—and its gardens are open to the public. Arrival is after 15:00; departure before 10:00. No smoking inside the property.
