Moonbeam House

Isle of Wight

Freshwater Bay, at the Isle of Wight's western tip, draws people for its chalk cliffs, shingle beach and coastal walks. Moonbeam House sits above the bay itself, one of four Victorian terraced villas originally built as retirement homes for naval officers. The sea views from the property remain protected by covenant, and period details run through all three floors of the building.

The ground floor holds the kitchen and dining room, fitted for everyday cooking, with a separate toilet. Upstairs, a living room with French doors opens onto a balcony; two double bedrooms and two single bedrooms occupy the first and second floors, with a bathroom and shower room between them. Six guests can stay across the four bedrooms. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. An enclosed garden with seating wraps around the property, and there is parking for one car and a bike store. No smoking throughout.

Freshwater village, moments away, has independent shops, cafés and a leisure centre with a pool. The coastal path offers immediate access to walks. Regular buses serve the wider island. The property does not accommodate children under three years old.
