🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Solent Cottage

Isle of Wight

View on Google Maps

Solent Cottage works well for families or small groups wanting a self-contained base on the Isle of Wight. The three-bedroom house sleeps five: a king bed and ensuite on the first floor, a single on the same level, and another king on the top floor, with a second bathroom containing a bath and shower. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen and dining room has everything needed for cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge—while the sitting room offers a TV and radio for quieter evenings.

The cottage stands on a Yarmouth street just a short walk from the seafront, surrounded by the town's old lanes, pubs and shops. An enclosed courtyard garden provides outdoor space, and there is public car parking nearby. Essentials including wi-fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. The building dates from the 1700s and retains period character, though note that access between floors involves steep spiral stairs. Families exploring the island's walking routes, cyclists using the local paths, and anyone wanting to be within steps of the harbour will find this location convenient. The ferry terminal is walkable from here, and a pub and shop lie just two hundred yards away.
