Steephill Lodge

Steephill Lodge is a detached cottage set within the grounds of Ventnor Cricket Club, positioned high above the working fishing cove of Steephill. The single bedroom holds a double bed, and the property sleeps four with the help of two z-beds, making it flexible for small groups or families as well as couples. Everything is on the ground floor, with step-free access throughout.

The lodge contains a living and dining room with a 32-inch Freeview TV, a kitchen with electric oven and hob for proper cooking, a shower room and a separate toilet. Bike storage is built in. You have private parking for one car and can use the surrounding lawned grounds. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; smoking is not permitted. The property sits within the cricket club's grounds, and on match days residents can watch games free and use the Pavilion Bar.

Steephill Cove itself—a sand and shingle beach backed by cliffs—lies just downhill and has no road access, which keeps it quiet and working. The Victorian seaside town of Ventnor spreads up the hill just over a mile away, with restaurants and tea shops along the Esplanade, an award-winning park, and the sort of independent shops and paddling pool you'd expect from a traditional seaside resort.
