Ventnor Heights
Isle of Wight
Ventnor sits on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, where clifftop paths lead to Steephill Cove and the town spreads inland with independent shops, galleries and seafront restaurants. Ventnor Heights is a terraced cottage originally built as part of Steephill Castle's stable block, now converted into a self-contained retreat for two. On the ground floor an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and seating areas with an electric oven, hob and microwave for cooking; a sunroom adjoins this main living space. The bedroom is upstairs—a double room with a 4ft 6in bed—along with a bathroom containing a bath and toilet. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, as is wifi throughout.
The cottage has its own parking space and a private walled courtyard garden. A mezzanine reading gallery offers a quiet corner away from the main living areas. The location is the real draw: Ventnor Park with its subtropical planting and clifftop views is within walking distance, and the coastal paths down to the cove and its rock pools lie just beyond. Ventnor's town centre shops and restaurants are equally close. The wider island has sandy beaches, country lanes for cycling, and woodland walks. No smoking is permitted inside.
