The Old Signal House is a converted telephone exchange near Ventnor, set within 10 acres of natural grounds on the southern Isle of Wight. The whole property is yours alone. Four bedrooms accommodate up to nine guests: a kingsize and a double, each with French doors to the decking, plus two further rooms with single beds—one pair on the ground floor, the second accessed by ladder stairs to a galleried area. Each bedroom has its own ensuite; three have baths with shower attachments, one has a shower cubicle only. A single bed on the galley level means flexible sleeping arrangements for larger groups.
Everything happens on or near the ground floor. The open-plan living space combines a sitting area with a dining zone and kitchen equipped for self-catering: electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. There's a utility room with a washing machine. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; oil underfloor heating keeps the place warm. Outside, decking with garden furniture and a barbecue overlooks the coastal landscape. Parking for four cars is on-site.
Niton centre—with shop, tea room, pub and post office—is half a mile away. The beach is two miles distant. Walking and cycling trails spread across adjoining National Trust land and the Undercliff Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. One pet is welcome. No smoking inside.
