Whitestones

Isle of Wight

Newport sits in countryside that rolls down towards the Isle of Wight's southern coast. Whitestones occupies a quiet spot within this landscape, rural enough to feel removed from things yet positioned to reach the island's beaches, walking routes and attractions without fuss. The village itself—Brightstone, a short distance away—centres on a collection of National Trust cottages and has a pub, shop and restaurant within half a mile.

The house sleeps seven across three bedrooms: a double on the ground floor, two further bedrooms upstairs (one with three single beds, one with two singles plus a pull-out). Ground floor space includes a living room with TV and DVD player, a sun room, and a kitchen equipped for cooking. The single bathroom has a bath with shower; there is a separate toilet. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided. Outside, a garden with patio and furniture comes with private parking for one car.

Walkers and cyclists have footpaths and bridleways on their doorstep; the coast is roughly five miles away. The property does not allow smoking.

Fantastic stay at Whitestone cottage, very private, cosy, everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. We spent 11 nights & arrived to a beautifully decorated house during the Christmas period. The outside was also decorated with pretty illuminated reign deer & our host Anne was incredibly welcoming. The house was equipped with extra towels & bedding & a fully equipped kitchen. Settled between 2 fantastic pubs the crown with delightful food. The bishops in Brighstone with thatched village & local shop, beach about 1/2 mile away & Isle of Wight pearl, tapnell farm, fort Victoria, black gang chine all within about 20mins driving distance Wether your stay is for romance, relaxation, family or a holiday where you feel peace & want to listen to the birds & watch the wildlife & play down the beach its perfect.
