About Osborne House
Osborne House stands directly on Llandudno's promenade, a listed Victorian building given over to seven large suites on the upper floors above a ground-floor café and restaurant. The scale is deliberately small, and the format sits somewhere between a boutique hotel and a guest house, with each suite individually furnished and considerably larger than a standard hotel room.
The ground-floor café operates through the day and into the evening, giving guests a dedicated place to eat without leaving the building, while the suites themselves are aimed at longer or more indulgent stays rather than a quick overnight visit. Its seafront position gives every suite a view across the bay towards the pier and the Great Orme.
As one of the smaller seafront properties in the town, it suits visitors who want a promenade position and sea view without the scale of the large hotel buildings that dominate much of the rest of the sea front.

What a beautiful place to visit. Amazing grounds go on forever! Very dog friendly! We visited yesterday, weather was on the warm side but we still managed to find plenty of shade and water bowls, and a dog friendly ice cream! Very friendly knowledgeable English Heritage staff across the site. I loved everything here. I think the site shop would definitely benefit from more merchandise with images of Queen Victoria on them. It should be the very basic of images on a magnet for the great Queen Victoria at her final home. I was very dissapointed not to have been able to purchase a magnet with her image on site at all. As a Historic Royal fan I have visited sites across the land, e.g Hever (I know its not English heritage) but what you cant buy there with Ann Boleyn image on is not worth looking at! Even Peterborough Cathederal have magnets with Queen Katherine of Aragon on them.. I think English Heritage is missing a massive sales opportunity for Queen Victoria nerds (like myself) who would love the opportunity to purchase more merchandise and not just books but magnets, bags, mugs, t- shirts...little princess outfits (to go with the boys swords and armour!) anything, just a thought.

Fabulous so interesting the grounds are expansive there is a little beach with has a cafe the Swiss cottage and the adjoining museum. If you cannot walk far or up hill as in my case they run a shuttle bus between the house swiss cottage and the beach. Lovely staff and very knowledgeable.

Amazing place. Feels unreal. So much too see and enjoy. Suitable for all ages. As a family, couple or as a friend group or even alone you can enjoy. Ready to walk plenty and dress nicely for amazing photos.

Visited 25th March 2026 before high season so the upstairs floors were not open. However, still plenty to see from statues of the Goddess of Victory, Nike, to original paintings of Queen Victoria and her family. Access to rooms such as the drawing room, Dunbar room and dining room is very good with helpful English Heritage staff in hand for any facts. Then you have the beautiful, well kept gardens. If you're ready for a walk, then visit the Swiss Cottage in the grounds followed by a further walk to Victoria's private beach. Overall, Osborne is well worth the visit, with tea rooms and a gift shop too.
