Beck Foot Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
Beck Foot Cottage sits on a working farm with views across to the Howgills. The cottage itself is gated off from the farmyard, creating a private space. A rough track and cattlegrid mark the approach; the entrance itself is just one step up. Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with a Smart TV and an electric woodburner, plus a kitchen with a breakfast area, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and tumble dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with bunks—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. There is small garden furniture and private parking for two cars.
Families with young children or those bringing a dog find the layout works well; the gated enclosure around the cottage gives safe space away from the farm animals. The location suits anyone wanting to be on working ground without isolation—lambs and kids appear in late winter and early spring, and there are sheep, cows and goats around the year. Sedbergh, a Saxon market town full of cobbled streets and old stone buildings, is a short drive away. The cottage draws water from a spring on the property.
