Groups and larger families will find Gateside Farmhouse works well for a gathering. With five bedrooms spread across three floors—two doubles with ensuite shower rooms, a double, a triple, and a single—there's flexibility in how you arrange things. Three bathrooms mean people aren't queuing, and communal spaces are genuinely spacious: a living room with woodburner and Freeview, a separate kitchen and dining area where ten can eat together. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, practical when you're hosting that many.
The farmhouse sits on a working farm in rural country above Sedbergh, with views across the Howgill range from the windows. Parking for up to five cars is on site. Sedbergh itself—about two and a half miles away—is accessible on foot or by bike; the town has cafes, bookshops, and sits on a national cycle route. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included, along with Wi-Fi. A garden with seating and furniture gives space to spread out when the weather allows. The property is non-smoking.

Absolutely beautiful cottage maintained to a very high level. Spectacular views in every direction. it was our second stay here and we will return again. it feels like home right from your arrival. Beautiful comfy beds and it's so quiet we all slept like babies. Fantastic friendly hosts this place is an absolute 10 out of 10.

Got back today from Gateside Farmhouse ,Sedbergh after a long weekend with family and what a lovely place it is. The setting is amazing, just hills in every direction .The house itself is large and very spacious and exceptionally clean and very well equipped , good quality finishes and well maintained The bedrooms are lovely and comfortable with magnificent views from every window. In fact there's nothing you wouldn't like about this house. There are also some great walks from the doorstep. We would definitely love to visit again and would highly recommend to anyone. Gorgeous place.
