About Inside Out Camping Yurts at Seatoller
Beautifully remote and tucked into the Borrowdale Valley near Seatoller, this tiny yurt site occupies one of the Lake District's most spectacular corners. The five dog-friendly yurts sit against a backdrop of fells and crags that will have walkers itching to pull on their boots – climbing, cycling and watersports are all close at hand, while Derwentwater and Keswick lie just a few miles north.
On site you'll find thoughtful touches including barbecues, ice pack freezing and a proper toilet block, plus the operation runs on renewable energy. The peaceful, remote setting is the real draw here, though don't expect luxury – this is back-to-basics camping done well. A brilliant base for active families and anyone seeking proper mountain scenery without the crowds.

Stopped in a lovely yurt last May as a long weekend with the kids. It rained quite abit which I believe is normal for the Lake District! Everything you needed was provided, cutlery, pots & pans, bedding etc along with a supply of wood for the fire. We used the showers attached to the farm house & these were hot & clean. Lovely quiet surroundings with stunning views and the rolling River Derwent beside. There were plenty of places to walk or drive to more stunning views at the other side of the hill. If you like to be with nature and enjoy the outdoors. This place is for you!

I think the yurts were perfect, in good order and fully equipped with everything we needed. Perfectly placed between keswick and buttermere for great walks. Buses about 200m away from site run both ways , to keswick and buttermere, although the last bus from keswick back to site is a bit early. Simon the host responded in good time to queries and is helpful.

Managed to get a yurt in short notice and was not disappointed. The location is amazing and the yurts are spectacularly comfortable and accommodated 4 people with ease. Cooking area and a lovely stove kept us all warm and made it a great experience. Finding the campsite is easy and toilets are very close and are well maintained. Though we didn't get to meet Simon he had prepared everything for our arrival and was very helpful on the phone, even notifying us that the Bridge on Grange was closed and what route we should take. Will definitely recommend and visit again

Simon was more than willing to accommodate us when our camping trip went pear shaped (and the hubby forgot the tent poles) and I'm so pleased he did! The yurts were clean and spacious and equipped with everything you need. You could literally come with clothes and food and everything else is there. There is a lovely log burning stove (as well as a gas stove for cooking) which heats the yurt brilliantly. The site is quiet with basic facilities. Toilets cold water (2 wash sinks for tent campers) and showers across the road at the farm. We had a brilliant time with 2 children ages 4 and 6 and are planning to return to have a full 3 nights in the yurts. Thank you Simon xx
