About Seatoller Farm
This family-run working hill farm sits in a spectacular Borrowdale Valley location, with Scafell Pike, the Wainwright fells and gentle riverside rambles all within easy reach. Protected woodland flanks one edge of the site, where bats, buzzards and owls are regular visitors, while the pitches themselves look out over sweeping views toward the River Derwent. There's no Wi-Fi or phone signal (bar Vodafone in the village), reinforcing the wild, switch-off atmosphere that walkers and wild campers appreciate.
Owner Daniel does his rounds morning and evening rather than manning a formal reception, and every Saturday night between 6pm and 8pm, stone-baked pizzas featuring the farm's own pork and Herdwick lamb are sold from a seating barn. You can also buy rare-breed sausages, lamb burgers and firewood. Campfires and barbecues are allowed, though they must stay off the grass to avoid scorching. Facilities are low-key but well-maintained: separate loos near the pitches, showers a short walk away at the main farm building, and regular local buses stopping right outside during the season.

We stayed at Seatoller Farm Campsite for three nights as a family of four with our two dogs, and we had a fantastic stay. The location is absolutely outstanding and perfect for anyone who enjoys walking, hiking and exploring the Lake District. There are countless walks straight from the campsite, meaning you can leave the car behind and head straight into the fells, valleys, rivers and waterfalls. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and the whole site had a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. One of the things we liked most was that the campsite is relatively small. It feels much more private than larger sites and doesn’t attract noisy groups or party-goers, which made for a very enjoyable stay. The shower facilities were excellent – some of the best we’ve experienced whilst camping. The toilets were good too, although they could perhaps be cleaned a little more frequently during busy periods. The campsite was also ideal for our dogs, with so many fantastic walks and beautiful places to explore right from the doorstep. Overall, we had a wonderful few days and wouldn’t hesitate to return. A peaceful, friendly campsite in a stunning location with excellent facilities and incredible access to some of the best walking in the Lake District. We will definitely be back.

A lovely campsite in a gorgeous village. Had a great time camping at Seatoller - easy check in, good space and beautiful location for pitching a tent! Amenities are clean, easy and nice to use. Recommend ordering a pizza in their pizza oven if you have a chance! And 2 mins walk from a warm and friendly pub! Loved it and can’t wait to return.

A huge thank you to Seatoller farm - We had their pizzas and salads for our evening wedding food at Borrowdale Institute, and they were absolutely fantastic. The pizzas were incredibly tasty, and so many of our guests commented on how delicious they were throughout the evening. Everything was delivered hot and presented beautifully. The team set everything up seamlessly and then tidied everything away afterwards without being noticed, allowing us to simply enjoy our special day. The service was professional from start to finish, and they made the whole process completely stress-free with no fuss at all. It was a pleasure working with them, and we couldn't have been happier with the food and service provided. Without hesitation, we would use them again and recommend them to friends and family."

Beautiful and quiet location, great sized tent pitches. Showers are a short walk away but hot and clean if you get there early. Daniel, who runs the site, is lovely and I would recommend this place very much.
