About Glaramara Hotel
Rooms at the Glaramara Hotel come with en-suite bathrooms, reliably good showers and soft towels, plus the sort of mountain views that make the Seatoller setting worth the trip. There are 33 rooms across three floors, including accessible options, and free on-site parking for those arriving with boots and rucksacks rather than city luggage.
The restaurant serves generous evening meals and a proper breakfast, with packed lunches available for anyone heading out onto the fells for the day. There's a bar for the evening, a garden and outdoor seating for taking in the views, plus a picnic area, laundry service, luggage storage and Wi-Fi throughout. Staff are consistently helpful, and pets are welcome. Meeting rooms and business facilities are also on hand for anyone mixing work with the Lakes.
Seatoller sits within easy reach of walking and cycling routes, with fishing, watersports, pubs and restaurants nearby. It's a quiet, scenic base for exploring the Lake District's fells and lakes, with the hotel itself geared firmly towards those who spend their days outdoors and want a comfortable, well-fed return in the evening.
What guests say
Stayed here just this weekend and had a thoroughly wonderful time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed super comfortable. Excellent tea in the room (not just Yorkshire tea, the best there is, but also decaf Yorkshire which made my day!). If you like space you might be a little bothered by the size of the bathroom (in our room anyway 201, the bathroom was small) but it didn’t bother me in the slightest. One other very small thing was the alcohol-free beer selection could be better, only Heineken zero on offer in beer selection (this seems a favourite in many places but there are so many better ones out there now, another choice would be good, Moretti is excellent as is Estrella. Dogs super welcome and given their own bed and bowl in the room. Couldn’t comment on dinner as we ate elsewhere but breakfast was very, very good. The location is second to none for walking and getting away from it all and the views from the bar, restaurant and our room were fantastic! We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Perfect base to explore the lake district. Rooms were lovely & the mattress on the beds is one of the best I've ever slept on! The view from the room window was lovely as well. The set menu dinner was fab, you got 3 choices for the starter, main & dessert. We had the lamb main which was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be returning!

We had a fabulous stay. Evening meal was absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly. Room was quite small and we could hear the chatter from the lounge downstairs but it didn't bother us. The bed was very comfortable, our room had a lovely shower and we had HUGE soft fluffy bath towels. Hot chocolate in our room was a lovely treat. Avoid bringing big suitcases as the room is tight and there are lots of stairs.

The location of the hotel on our coast to coast hike was incredible! Our room was very cosy and clean! The hairdryer was a plus! The view from their terrace was something else…beautiful! The dinner was healthy and tasted delicious. The service was impeccable and was orchestrated like in a Michelin star restaurant! The breakfast menu included gluten free and vegan options.
