Oh gosh… I don’t even know where to start. This is by far the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Firstly, the location. It’s literally in the middle of the Lake District surrounded by nature. The view from the rooms is unbelievably nice. My room was incredible! It was nicely, classically furnished and really well equipped. The bathroom was very modern and clean, absolutely loved it. Staff were extremely nice and courteous as well. The breakfast was really good and a wide range to choose from including the buffet. I will not only recommend but even promise that I will come again. 10000/5 stars!

We stayed here for 2 nights. Absolutely fabulous friendly staff which made the stay! Room dated but clean 👌 not too busy. Breakfast fantastic 😋 people and destination lovely and brilliant for dogs. Bring tea coffee and sugar and milk as only small amount in room. Perfect walks for dogs near by and close to amenities. Would stay again.

Great located hotel for walking and whilst a nice hotel, the premium room we had was located near the kitchen extractor which meant the bathroom constantly smelt like fried food and the window couldn't be left open. That said the room was clean and nicely appointed. Staff whilst really helpful and pleasant, could really do with additional training. Water was spilt over the table at one point with no apology, orders were forgotten and seemed rushed. Views and the garden area are very pleasant. The food was good and not overpriced, breakfasts were cooked to orderk alongside the usual self service cereals and pastries.

Nice hotel in a quiet location. Old but clean and tidy. No air conditioning is a massive drawback ‼️ Sleeping was very difficult despite the window being open all day and night with the fan supplied on full blast. It felt like trying to sleep in a sauna, literally ! You have been warned. I suggest you DO NOT use this hotel during hot weather conditions. The service was traditional and friendly. The dining room was very plush, but the hot breakfast was not the best. Continental very good though.
