Anglers Haven is a three-bedroom lodge on the Everglades Caravan Park near Downham Market, in Norfolk's countryside. The grounds include fishing lakes where guests can fish at no extra charge (a licence is required), and the property sits beside water rather than in isolation. You get the whole place to yourself: three bedrooms sleeping six, two bathrooms plus a separate toilet, and a kitchen with dishwasher and electric oven. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower; the other two are doubles. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included.
The living room has a smart TV and electric fire, opening onto a patio garden where you can sit with views across the grounds. On-site parking fits two cars. The lodge suits families and groups wanting a base for fishing or a straightforward country break; others nearby include Belle Vue Guest House. The property is non-smoking. Check-in is after 14:00 and check-out before 10:00.

I wanted to go somewhere I had never been before and this area ticked all the boxes. The images on the website promised an idyllic holiday of peace, relaxation and good fishing. The reality was even better. This is a sociable and friendly site. The fishing is not always easy but a good day is achievable. I have met some really lovely people here and the site is beautifully maintained. Bradley is a hard working, helpful and very friendly man who keeps the site in tip top condition. He is very good for advice on the local area and he is instantly likeable. I drove a long way to get here and I have no regrets at all. This is one of the nicest places I have ever visited. I will definitely be back!
