Downham Market sits in the heart of Norfolk's rural landscape, surrounded by water and wide skies. Everglades Caravan Park and Lodges occupies lakeside grounds here, and Fishermans Den is a single-bedroom retreat designed for two people who want access to the water without fuss. The lodge is entirely yours for the duration of your stay, with private parking for two cars and Wi-Fi throughout.
Everything is on the ground floor. A combined living and dining space opens onto a patio overlooking the lake, with a smart TV, electric heating, and a kitchen equipped to cook proper meals. The bedroom contains two single beds. There is an en-suite shower room with heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included, along with a welcome pack.
Course fishing on the lakes is free to lodge guests (you'll need your own licence). The patio is where you'll spend time, whether casting a line, having breakfast, or simply watching the water. The lodge suits couples, solo travellers or friends wanting a quiet base in the Norfolk countryside without the drive into town.

I wanted to go somewhere I had never been before and this area ticked all the boxes. The images on the website promised an idyllic holiday of peace, relaxation and good fishing. The reality was even better. This is a sociable and friendly site. The fishing is not always easy but a good day is achievable. I have met some really lovely people here and the site is beautifully maintained. Bradley is a hard working, helpful and very friendly man who keeps the site in tip top condition. He is very good for advice on the local area and he is instantly likeable. I drove a long way to get here and I have no regrets at all. This is one of the nicest places I have ever visited. I will definitely be back!
