Gable Barn

Step into Gable Barn and you're greeted by a converted farm building with real character. The ground floor opens into a combined living and dining space, with a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook properly—oven, gas hob, dishwasher, all the essentials. A bedroom with two single beds and a wet room with bath and shower sit at this level, making it accessible for those with mobility needs. Upstairs, two more bedrooms offer a double and another pair of singles, served by a separate shower room. The property sleeps 6 and is yours alone; bed linen, towels and wifi are provided.

Beyond the building itself, Gable Barn sits on Thorpland Manor Farm in the flat, open landscape of the Norfolk Fens, surrounded by seven converted cottages that share a collection of facilities. A heated outdoor pool runs from May through September, a hot tub and sauna are available year-round, and there's a games room with pool table and table football. Children have a play area with wooden structures and swings. You'll have a courtyard patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, plus access to farm grounds where fishing and walking are possible.

The location suits families and groups wanting space and outdoor activity without much driving. Oxburgh Hall, a moated 15th-century house with regular events, is near by, as is Langham Glass where you can watch traditional glassblowing. Antiques barns, craft shops, a butterfly park and other attractions dot the surrounding countryside. No smoking in the property.
