North Norfolk's flat landscape and quiet villages make it ideal for unhurried breaks, and this brick-built cottage sits within reach of both the coast and the countryside. Lavender Cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two single beds that zip together—and has a bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor is open-plan, combining living space with a kitchen equipped to cook properly, plus a dining area. Upstairs there is also a highchair if needed. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, and one well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost.

The property occupies an enclosed garden and courtyard with seating. Sandy beaches lie four miles north; Brancaster with its sailing community and golf course is equally close. A network of country lanes from the door suits walking and cycling, and several bird-watching sites are within easy reach. The Mill Kitchen café operates on the farm grounds, serving food including gluten-free options, and a farm shop stocks local produce. The surrounding 100 acres of lavender fields can be explored on site, alongside an oil distillery. Fakenham, Burnham Market and Wells-next-the-Sea are all within an hour's drive. Hunstanton, a traditional seaside resort with a leisure centre, pier, and watersports (seasonal), is six miles away. Parking is available on road; no smoking inside the cottage.

Great stop before going home. We visited during the Market on the last Saturday of the month. Well worth a visit. We arrived at 9am Went for Breakfast, brought some lavender and from the garden shop. Had a browse around the Farmshop. Interesting to learn how they distill the lavender oil from the plant. The smel onsitel was incredible.

Slightly on the smaller side but lovely place. Interestingly the farm shop sold the lavender cake cheaper than in the cafe (to go). Also the cafe closes at 4 instead of 5pm.

Got some lavender plants, but no surprise there because the name 😅. We also bought soap 🧼 with lavender and rosmarin. Some honey 🍯 with lavender and raspberry jam with lavender. Hand lotion and yes , again with labander and some lotion for headache with? BINGO 🤣Labander. We went for a quick meal there too. Food was nice. Big portions. Price hmmm...dunno...bit high, but this day inflation is high so it's ok. Food was nice. I had beef burger. Meat was bit dry, but perfect minimal seasoning. Scampi could have come with some wedge of lemon 🍋. The woman at the till didn't know what is coke...so had to say " coca-cola" then she understood what I want, but there was one more problem. I said twice " no ice",but still got it 🙄. Well in general place is lovely. Especially the lady who was selling the honey, jam, lotion and the plants was very lovely and nice, very helpful. She saw that we had bought a lot of stuff one by one in multiple occasions going there that day so she cought up with us and offered us a bag. 😊

What a beautiful place. Elegantly and thoughtfully decorated - lovely grounds and a big garden to wander around behind the water mill - plus a lovely well thought out restaurant with lots of options and cakes, friendly and well dressed staff and dog friendly seating inside and out 🐾 plus lavender galore and some nice gift shops (dogs not allowed in the main store) 💜 well worth a visit and a delightful coffee/lunch stop and wander
