Nightingale Cottage
King's Lynn and West Norfolk
View on Google MapsCastle Acre is a village where history runs deep. The Normans left their mark here—the castle gateway and priory still stand, accessible on foot—and the settlement itself traces back further still to the Iceni. Walk the Peddars Way, a Roman path that threads through the area towards the coast, or explore the water meadows by the River Nar, where the ford creates a natural ford perfect for paddling.
Nightingale Cottage sleeps four across three bedrooms: one double and two singles. There is one bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor has a living and dining room with an open fire and Smart TV, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. One car can park in the garage; there is additional on-road parking. The enclosed rear garden has a courtyard and sitting-out area. One dog or cat stays free.
The village has a green and café within easy walking distance. Further afield, Sandringham lies nearby, as do the Houghton and Holkham estates. Thetford Forest is within reach. No smoking indoors.
