Church Farm Cottages - Frenchman’s
Breckland

Breckland's quiet lanes and watermeadows make it a natural base for exploring Norfolk on foot or by bike. Frenchman's, one of Church Farm Cottages, sits within working farmland in a conservation hamlet where barn owls and little owls are residents. The cottage is yours alone—a single-storey space with a double bedroom, shower room, and an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchenette. Everything needed for self-catering is here, along with heating and electricity included in the price.
A short walk across the fields or along a quiet lane brings you to Castle Acre, where a 14th-century priory and Norman castle are the main draw. The village has pubs and a traditional green. Closer still is the River Nar, crossed by a footbridge, popular with families. The wider region is within easy reach: Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path are essentially on the doorstep, and the North Norfolk beaches at Hunstanton and Brancaster—with seals, the RSPB reserve and other nature spots—are a 30-minute drive. There is parking for one car on site. No smoking is permitted in the cottage.
