Norfolk Lake House - The Lakehouse
King's Lynn and West Norfolk
View on Google MapsPhoto: Norfolk Lake House
Kings Lynn sits within reach of the Norfolk Broads, one of England's premier boating destinations, and the coastal villages of north Norfolk are under an hour away. Closer to hand, the town itself offers independent restaurants and shops, while the house sits on an acre of private grounds right on the water's edge, making it possible to fish from your own land. The setting works equally well for groups wanting a base to explore the area or families content to stay put.
The Lakehouse sleeps 12 across five bedrooms. Ground-floor rooms include two zip-and-link super-king beds (each convertible to two singles), a double, and a bunk room; upstairs there's a four-poster bed in an ensuite. The ground floor also holds the main living spaces: an open-plan kitchen and dining room with doors opening onto a lakeside balcony, a sitting room with woodburner, a shower room and utility room. Upstairs are a games room and cinema room with an 84-inch screen. Essentials like heating, electricity, linen and towels are covered, plus Wi-Fi throughout. A welcome pack is provided, along with travel cots, a highchair and stairgate for younger children.
Outside, a patio and terrace with garden furniture face the lake, and there's a gas barbecue and firepit for evening use. The hot tub accommodates six. The lake itself is unfenced, and the garden has two steps; there's private parking for five cars. One dog stays free. No smoking inside, please.
