What a fabulous little place to visit. I spotted it whilst route planning for a trip to Berwick-upon-Tweed. There was no way I was driving through without visiting. The museum is free and rely solely on donations. It includes an exhibition area and shop. It's fully accessible including the toilet facilities. There's plenty of free parking near by. It was absolutely fascinating to discover a full history of the Coldstream Guards, whom I've seen numerous times carrying out their royal duties in London. If you're planning on passing through Coldstream please do find an hour to pop in, discover, and support this wonderful gem. I even took the opportunity to try on the uniform, oh my, the weight and how many fiddly buttons, not to mention that bear skin hat!!! In case you're wondering they are all real bearskin. Made from skins that would have been destroyed and binned whilst protecting residents from areas with large bear populations, reducing conflict between humans and nature.

A wonderful small but fascinating museum, so much history. Set in a corner of Coldstream, with plenty of free parking out the front, excellent as we had my Mum in a qheelchair. Loads of things to keep children happy too. Interesting art display. Loved it.

Small but very interesting local museum charting the history of the town and its long association with the Coldstream Guards. Full size models of soldiers right up to present day. Many other interesting models and dioramas depicting battle scenes in miniature. Gentleman on desk was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk with. Great for all the family and its free although they would welcome a donation. No pressure.
