About Knockneen Croft

Knockneen Croft offers glamping pods and static lodges in Dumfries and Galloway, a region of rolling hills, forests and coastline. The site has shower facilities on-site. Kirkcolm, the nearest town, sits on the Solway Firth with access to coastal walks and the Southern Upland Way long-distance path, which runs through the surrounding countryside.

The area is quieter than many UK holiday destinations, with Stranraer about 20 minutes' drive away for supplies and services. Portpatrick, a small fishing village, lies within reasonable driving distance and offers harbour-side walks. Inland, the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park is accessible for stargazing and outdoor activities.

Have stayed here twice now. I love the quiet, peaceful location, the views across the sea and the excellent accommodation. Calling it Glamping doesn’t seem to do these lovely pods justice, they’re both very luxurious, cosy and comfortable even when I stayed in January of this year. You just can’t beat sitting in a hot tub, under a starry wintery sky with a wine glass in hand and a woolly hat on your head! Hosts live on site and are very friendly and helpful but also allow you your peace and privacy. Dog friendly too, my pup loved it just as much as I did.

I've stayed here in the pods a couple of times now. I'm very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. The pods are very clean and cosy, and the hosts Mark and Sarah are very warm and friendly. You have everything you need in the pods for a great countryside escape.

This pod has everything you need!!!! We arrived at the pods and where greated by Mark and Sarah , who where very welcoming! They came over and show you everything and explain how to work things! The pods literally has everything you need , we took our fire stick to watch movies on. They even had a space extension lead in the pods, coffee , milk , toaster kettle and fridge! We also forgot shower gel and they even had that!!! I don't think this will be the last time we see Sarah and Mark, hopefully the weather will be a bit better but that didn't effect us. Our two dogs said thank you so much for the natural treats! 10/10 .. will most definitely be back

Utterly beautiful accommodation with very kind hosts. We booked via Airbnb. We even extended our stay by a night because we loved it so much. They’re so clean, modern, airy and well equipped. Very dog friendly and loads of secure fenced space for them too. Excellent value for money and we can’t wait to rerun! Don’t hesitate to go here!
